My husband grew up eating sugar pie, a simple pie his mother made. He would like to have some again. However, his mother doesn't remember the recipe or where she got it from. I have never seen recipes for anything similar. It's made from just evaporated milk and sugar in a pie crust, I think, remembering watching his mother make it many many years ago. The other sugar pie recipes I have found are more elaborate. Does anyone have any information or recipes for this type of pie? His mother may have gotten the recipe from her mother, who grew up in the coal country around Shamokin, but that is just a guess.
