Will success spoil Bolete?

We have enjoyed the dinners we have had at Bolete enough to make it destination for a drive thru Northeast PA on a nice evening. The place is interestingly mixed between rustic and a plain palate of a more updated look. Nice people, good service and usually good food at an above average price. Of its kind I would say one of the only games in town. Sadly the last visit had resulted in poor execution by whom ever was in the kitchen at the time. After an appropriate wait for freshly prepared food we all had to send it back for various reasons. The second delivery was left on the table, we offered to pay for drinks in the dinning room and were offered other food or a credit by an embarrassed host. Any place can have an off day. Is that what it was or has this been happening since they have been frequently proclaimed one of the areas best? I am hoping for the "one off" answer. It is too long a drive for us (even on a nice night) to have a high priced bad experience. Any thoughts or recent experiences at Bolete?
