SubZero Pro-48 water filter for ice maker

OaklandGal | Aug 4, 201504:43 PM     10

The 'replace water filter' just came on the subzero pro-48 I got last fall and I was not-so-shocked to discover the hefty price tag and instructions to replace the filter every 6 months, since the unit itself costs more than several new cars. But I found a supposedly greener replacement by Swift Green (SGF ZS48) on Amazon that is quite a bit less but the reviews are varied. Has anyone here used one of these filters?
Thank you!
