substitute for semolina in straciatella?

Sinus infection, busted water heater, desperate to make Mario Batali's straciatella soup from Molto Italiano (page 125). He calls for whicking the eggs with cold stock and semolina, then beating that mix in.
Don't have semolina, can't get it here in the wilds of rural VA. Any ideas?
