I am allergic to dairy so therefore I have to make my own cheese now that I live in Australia (which does not have any choices in vegan cheese). I have a recipe to make Port Wine Uncheese and it calls for 2 Tablespoons of Sweet White Miso. Unfortunately, I am also allergic to soy and I cannot use it. Does anyone know of a substitute? I believe that it is supposed to give the vegan cheese a certain flavor and I was wondering if there is anything else with a comparable taste.
