Sublime rice pudding at the Evergood Market, Cambridge...

I just had the best rice pudding of my life- it is from the Evergood Market (bet Harvard & Porter Sqs, 1674 Mass Ave, Cambridge). The Evergood always lives up to its name- it is a small family owned market that always has excellent produce, meats and cheeses- their selection is small but they always , I feel, pick the best of every item. They always have the "ur" version of almost everything. The people who work here are incredibly nice and helpful. The rice pudding was in the back w/ the meats and fish- there is a section with their homemade salads et al in little plastic containers (they are particularly well-sized for single peoples and couples): 3 bean salad, chicken salad, ham salad (an unusual find in this day and age; in general, they are the perfect place to shop for basic ingredients and prepared foods for a "Ladies tea"), and today atleast- rice pudding. The Evergood also has a nice selection of Iggy's breads and scones from the Keltic Krust of West Newton (perfect for that before mentioned tea). For the description of their sublime rice pudding (I don't know how they get it so creamy, there is no egg in it- its ingredients are exceedingly simple- I believe just white rice, whole milk, sugar and cinnamon sprinkled on top) I'll leave you with a Haiku that I wrote celebrating its existence: At the Evergood- rice pudding revelation- creamiest sweet white.(- Allison)...
