Su Casa in El Segundo

First let me preface by saying that i just moved to California from NYC one month ago. Let me also say that i realize that El Segundo isn't exactly the culinary capital of the LA metro area.
That being said I was impressed by my visit to a new mexican restaurant called Su Casa on Main St. tonight. It takes over the location of the relocated local favorite La Paz. Some nice remodeling including some skylight and the requisite mirrored wall bar with high end tequilas more than outshines the fairly awful purple lined booths that have been installed.
We started off with margaritas. Pleasantly strong without too much sugar or lime, at 5.25 each i was very happy. the menu is very ameri-mexican. flautas, taquitos, quesadillas etc. for appetizers, all either 5 or 6 dollars. Main courses were the requisite tacos, burritos and enchiladas, as well as a nice list of entrees including carne asada and pollo en mole. Almost everything on the menu was 11 dollars or less. Everything was hot, presented artfully and efficiently (all frequent problems in NY). the service was undertrained, but eager. 4 margaritas (me and my wife), 2 apps and the carne asada entree came to 48 bucks. Considering it wasn't a greasy spoon dive I was happy.
Again, take with a grain of salt as I am a New Yorker, but I don't think anyone in the beach cities will be disappointed with the trip.
