I made a spinach lasagna today and for some reason have lots of the ricotta/spinach/parmesan mixture left over so I was thinking about making and freezing stuffed shells. I was wondering if anyone had tried stuffing *uncooked* shells, freezing and then cooking them with extra sauce from the frozen state?? Do think it would work?? I actually heard/read about cooking stuffed shells in a crock pot all day too and was wondering if that might work with uncooked ones. Any busy people out there try these shortcuts? Would love to hear about it. Thanks!
By the way I have never used "ready to bake" noodles but also make my lasagna without cooking the noodles first so that's what got me thinking about it. What do you think about those "no boil" noodles. Are the worth the extra $$??
