Stuffed Grape Leaves Question

Querencia | Apr 26, 201811:09 AM     10

On behalf of DIL who asked me to query: she wants to make a quantity of stuffed grape leaves for a party (stuffed with rice and ground meat in the Middle Eastern way). Is any problem anticipated if she rolls the leaves on Day I and refrigerates them, then on Day II stuffs and cooks them as usual? She worries that if she prepares them on Day I and reheats them on Day II the quality will suffer. Has anyone tried what she suggests? Would the leaves tear and break up with extra handling, for example? She is asking to hear from the Voice of Experience.
