I've promised to make some childrens' cookies with royal icing piping and flooding. Circumstances beyond my control make it necessary for me to make these cookies a month before they'll be delivered. I have no other option. I realize there's no way to provide a cookie that's as good as one freshly created but, frankly, I think the kids will be more interested in design than in taste. My question is a simple one - what's the best way to store these cookies for a month? In a tin on the counter? In the fridge? In the freezer? Or?? Thanks in advance.
