Storing meringues

haiku. | Sep 26, 2012 07:41 AM

I made pecan meringue cookies (just egg whites, sugar, pecan nuts and vinegar) on Monday, planning to take it to a gathering. Alas, they had not dried out sufficiently by the time I had to leave, so I opted not to take them along. And now I'm left with 2 trays of meringues that I'm trying to avoid consuming!

What's the best way to store them, and how long can I keep them? Ideally, if I can keep them until next Sunday, they will find a use then. I don't mind refreshing them in the oven as needed.
