A local grocery here was recently written up in Food & Wine magazine as being at the fore of the "store-to-table" movement. I wasn't aware that buying food at the store and then eating it was cutting-edge--I am way ahead of the times, I guess, because I've been practicing this for years.
I thought "farm-to-table" was pushing it but this, to me, indicates that the end of overly serious food writing and trend-mongering must surely be near.
A PDF of the article is linked on the store's website. It doesn't appear to be available on the F&W site.
