OK, the thread below inspired me to try my first batch of stock (or broth?) yesterday....i used a 3.5 lb chicken, covered with water, added onion, carrots, celerey, parsnip, parsley...brought to boil and simmered for 4 hours......the end product tasted good to me, but it didn't seem to yield that much. i have about 10 ice cubes worth and 1.5 small tupperware containers. does this seem right?
also, i have a big bowl filled with the chicken. is there anything I can do with this chicken? A few other questions...
Do I have stock or broght?
Also, what are some standard uses for said stock/broth?
