I live in SoCal, and have several rosemary bushes growing in my backyard. These are the standard ones from the nursery and get blue flowers on them (Tuscan Blue?). I assumed they were fine for cooking purposes, but I've noticed that they have a sticky quality to them, almost a resin that gets on my fingers and is sometimes hard to get off. Does anyone know if this is normal? I've used the rosemary in cooking with no apparent bad effects.
