Hmm... I think I owe Boston a good review to offset the bad one. :-)
I don't think I could heap enough praise on Stephanie's in my current state of mind. From friendly efficient wait staff, to a great outside ambiance on the sidewalk. I liked it immediately.
The food portions are gigantic. They have an interesting take on spinach/artichoke dip. I personally prefer bread over chips, but I can't really complain about it. Rather than being a sauce based dip, it was fairly dry, but tasted delicious. The mozzarella en carozza overwhelmed me a little, but it wasn't served with a generic marinara sauce which was quite nice.
I had the Halibut for main course and my dinner companion ordered the Veal Parmesan. I laughed openly when the plates arrived and her veal was wider than her. I honestly don't think I've ever seen a larger portion of veal in my dining history. I got to try a bite and it was superb. My halibut with little neck clams and creamed corn was delicately seasoned and cooked to perfection. The corn was not overdone and soggy as you sometimes find with creamed corn, but rather crisp and fresh tasting.
My only regret is not being to order dessert for being so satiated. :-)
