steamed buns

Those looking for a quick steamed bun on the run may like to try the ones at the Japanese market in POrter Exchange, kept piping hot in a small steam case on the counter by the cashier...surprisingly fluffy and light with that hint of sweetness in the dough. Comes in pork ball (not roast pork) and red bean varieties. They say they're made fresh every morning and put out sometime before noon; good comfort food..
