Despite living in New York City my whole life (and eating out three times a month at a minimum), I've managed to avoid its steakhouses. Uninteresting long story. In any event, I've decided to compare and contrast. Can anyone help me choose the top three in addition to PL (excluding MarkJoseph, I suppose)? And since I know relatively little about meat, what cuts should I order where? This Saturday, for instance, I have a reservation at the Palm, West Side. Is that an okay place to start? And should I try the fillet, strip, porter...? Finally, should I bother to save room for dessert?
