St. Phillips Bakery - Jane/Wilson

verbena | Nov 21, 2002 10:17 PM

If you're passing by Jane and Wilson and need a snack, I recommend St. Phillips Bakery. They have scrumptious canoli and other pastries. (Their cannoli are my current favourite in Toronto but I haven't done a thorough comparison with other contenders recently). They also sometimes have rolls with anise seed. I think you can get sandwiches there as well.

Their address is 2133 Jane Street (east side, south of Wilson). India Africa Grocers is just a few stores south. (Note for out-of-towners: Jane and Wilson is way out of the way from recommended downtown chow destinations, although I guess it could be a stop off the 401 if you're driving through).

There may also be a St. Phillips location in Woodbridge.?
