Went to Sripraphai last night- first time since they combined the restaurant into two two rooms. They def/ put some cash into renovating the place- the backyard looks great. They are charging a $10 corkage fee for wine which blows bec/ the wine they are serving is pretty lousy. Overall, the food was good but seemed different- like someone else was cooking it. The best dish was the pork shoulder with chili and basil- it was tender, spicy flavorful- the best preperation of this dish I've ever encountered at Sripraphai. The spicy shrimp salad was about the same as usual, the fried watercress salad, however was off. Much sweeter than usual with way more fried watercress and less chicken, squid and shrimp. It def/ tasted like someone else prepared this dish. The shrimp jungle curry was good but they added way to much chili flakes- something I've never seen at Sripraphai.
The owner told me that Sripraphai is again expanding. Seems they expanding (yet again)next store.
