Squaw Valley and other North/West Shore Tahoe recs

Hi Chowhounds,

I'll be spending the better part of a week in Squaw Valley later this summer. Anyone have any restaurant recommendations? I need a few dinners (expensive okay if it's worth it), plus maybe one lunch and one breakfast/brunch. Otherwise I'll be eating b'fast in the condo or packing picnic lunches. GF doesn't eat red meat, so the steakhouse kinda atmosphere doesn't appeal, but otherwise any kind of upscale is fine. One dinner will be a birthday so please comment on the "specialoccasionness" of any recommendations.

I've eaten Plumpjack's Balboa Cafe in SF and had a good enough meal there to give the Squaw outlet a try (unless you think otherwise?). The places that christinet reported on sound terrible so I'll skip them. I like driving, especially in the summer in the mountains in a convertible, so driving 20-30 miles for dinner is not a problem (though Reno's probably a bit too far). So anything along the North and West shores, and I guess even back up into Truckee, are fair game.

Also, any other random chow-tips for the area are appreciated!

The following sounded good from reading old threads. Any comments?

Echo Cafe
Blue Onion for breakfast
Moody's
Le Bistro
Christy Hill
Wolfdale
