I thought Spokane needed a newer thread since so many places listed on the old one are closed, and there is current interest.
Spokane is coming along quite nicely I must say.
There are now quite a few places I love or like in no particular order:
Clover (higher end, but excellent, inventive, great drinks, special occasion)
Casper Fry (seating is a little hard but my...the yummy smoky meats and great drinks! I'm always surprised how much I love it there)
No-Li (formerly Northern Lights. Great Beer, decent food!)
Phon Thip Thai (hole in the wall tiny place, but authentic flavors, delicious and fresh)
Franks Diner (great breakfast spot, crowded but kitschy place in a train car, Chicken Fried steak Breakfast is enough for two to share, fun place & good breakfast food)
Nectar (downtown wine bar & small plates)
Anthony's Seafood (Downtownish, Great view of the falls, special occasions)
Clinkerdagger's (Downtownish, great HH food & drinks, partial view of falls depending on seating)
Italian Kitchen (downtown - very good Italian)
Herbal Essence (downtown, great local fare, great meals)
Twigs (South Hill consistently good!)
Manito Tap House (South Hill - huge beer list, good food)
Max's at Mirabeaux (Spokane Valley, surprisingly good food, decent HH)
Flaming Joe's (decent wings & beer, sports bar)
Davenport Restaurants all decent, Peacock Rm for HH.
Post Falls is another 20 minutes East but I have to mention it for 3 reasons:
Fleur de Sel (Golf Course location, fabulous French food and excellent prices, reserv only)
White House (garlicky heaven, Mediterranean with belly dancer nights)
Oval Office (next to White House, great drinks and apps, pre-party)
I'm sure I missed something but hit these up on the Google and enjoy!
Also, please note I didn't say the entire list was gourmet, 'to-die-for' or luxurious. But they are places I've returned to and in some cases get really excited about. Obviously, we all vary in what we like. YMMV
