Spain, "the new France"

Interesting piece in tomorrow's New York Times magazine, available today online. The premise: Spain is where the good things are happening in food and wine today. (I would say, "What took you guys so long to figure that out?" But I would also say that Spain is what made me a Chowhound rather than a Foodie...believing that there is as much to appreciate in a fresh fig as there is in a clafoutie.)
