My wife and I are planning a New York dinner party for Saturday, October 12, to celebrate our wedding with about 20-25 friends. We'd like to have all our friends meet at a really good Cantonese or Szechuan restaurant in Chinatown and take over one or two really large tables (that maybe could be put together), preferably with an advance reservation so we can confidently send out invites and directions as soon as possible.
So, our requirements are (1) a wide variety of really good dishes; (2) enough space in the place on a Saturday night to handle this big a crowd; and (3) not having to wait until the night in question to find out if there's room for all of us.
What say you? Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. I can find any number of great restaurants on the web, but it's hard to know if they would meet all our requirements.
Please reply directly to my email address, if possible. Thanks a lot.
