southern palm beach report

here's a quick report as we're just back from our annual palm beach trip. due to work-related overflow at the four seasons we stayed at the hilton, which believe it or not is kind of a dump (ack, pull up that carpet). however, i thought the kitchen was pretty great. i had an excellent southern fried chicken dinner w/ coleslaw, biscuits, mashed potatos and some lemonade. delish. also, great grilled grouper and turkey club sandwiches w/ awesome fries. i think they used lard in the fries because they were so crispy and addictive.

also, JOHHNY G'S and BENNIE'S ON THE PIER in lake worth were fine as ever. the latter is greek and i had a nice grilled dolphin sandwich there while we watched the people fish on the pier and the pelicans. if you get to the wpb area you must try JOHNNY G'S--it's only open for breakfast/lunch and has lines of people around the building even in the 90+ heat. amazing.
