Please help a Southern Hound eat well

Sant | Aug 11, 200309:51 AM     7

I'll have two days to tour and dine in San Francisco while attending a conference in Palo Alto. I'll only have time for the touristy areas like Chinatown and Fisherman's Wharf. Please provide me with the inside scoop on the good joints to check out (especially dim sum and good, fresh seafood) or the tourist traps to avoid. Also, any advice on a good place to have dinner in Palo Alto (I'll be staying at the Stanford Terrace Inn) will be much appreciated. In return, I promise to post a report upon my return.

Thanks for your help!
