So, spouse and i try the new "Camille's Cafe" on 7th across from Macy's Plaza on Monday, the first full week they've been open. While the menu features some interesting possibilities for an "upscale fast food sandwich" kind of place (Think nicer than Subway or Quizno's, but under $10 per sandwich)they REALLY need to spend SERIOUS time getting logistical bugs out, since they were undergoing mass confusion, while not yet really busy. Food suffered accordingly; orders weren't right; hot sandwiches were cold in the middle, etc.
WHICH BRINGS ME TO MY QUESTION/REQUEST
Imagine a rectangle bordered by Spring, or even maple on the east, Beaudry or Bixel on the west, Olympic on the South and 5th on the North. Leave out places where lunch will automatically run more than $15 per person. Leave out all large chains, and mall food court places, unless they are unusually good (Massis Kebab in Glendale would be an example of that...)
So, what'sleft? Hounds?
I already know about: Pasta Primavera, and the similar pasta place on Figueroa and Olympic attached to the carwash, Pantry, Lamplighter, Gil's, Cal. Roll & Sushi Fish, Angelique, the places in the alley by the jewelry theater. What am I missing? Can we compile a list, including what to order?
