New to SouthEast Chandler

Alfredo | Nov 21, 2005 06:31 PM

Well, as you all know, there is a plethora of new homes going up in South Chandler: namely South of Chandler Blvd. I have recently relocated to this area, and I'm having the darndest time finding good restaurants nearby (please no more Applebees!).

I still like to drive down to The Seafood Market in Mesa which is one of my favorite restaurants in the east valley. I have recently encountered one other GREAT lil' restaurant on this side of town in the tradition of good Mexican food: El Zocolo. I've been back now several times in the last two months. Wow. They're specialties are DE-licious. Definitely worth visiting.

I also found a lil' hole-in-the-wall: El Taquito (also known as Taco de Chandler). It's very inexpensive, and tastes great, but hardly fine dining. It's located on Chandler Blvd, just S of Arizona Ave. It's good if you're in the mood for some Ranchera music on the jukebox, and a cold Tecate', or an imported Mexican Coke in a bottle. It's also a good place to practice your Spanish. :)

I was hoping to expedite my search for new restaurants in the area by throwing it out there...So how 'bout it? Any other good eating 'S of Chandler Blvd'?? Let me know...{stomach growl}, I'm gettin' hungry.

Best,

Alfredo
