Just got back from a visit to Muy Macho, in South Park. El Vagre is gone, so no more papusas or seviche tostadas (weeping and rending here), but Muy Macho fills the void. Tacos are soft little tortillas with choice of so many maats I can't remember them all. List includes. Carne Asada, Pastor, Pollo Asada, Cabeza (shredded beef), lengua (tongue), sesos (brains), and several more). And a Tamarind soda, of course. A fine fun meal. English probably not spoken here, but the food is wonderful. No gloppy yellow cheeses dripping over everything, lots of fresh salsas, roasted jalapenos in the salsa bar (yum), I think the special today was 5 tacos for 6.99, but I had 3 for 5.99 with rice and (whole) beans, with a sprinkling of queso fresca. The delightful staff accomodated our request that we each have 3 tacos with 3 fillings.
Very funny: the menu is in Spanish with English translations, except for one item (whose name I have forgotten), where it lists the Spanish? name in the Spanish column and lists the very same word in the English column, leaving me to wonder if it was just an oversight or if they are hoping to lead unsuspecting diners to a whole new experience of come kind.
