My husband and I had another really good experience at Sorriso last night. The first time we were there several months ago the food was great but the service was a bit lacking. It has since improved quite a bit.

High points:

-- I was being indecisive about wine and the server brought over two kinds for me to try; and

-- Honest opinions about the food from the server (I appreciate someone who guides me away from a restaurant's weaknesses).

Once again I had the gnocchi with oxtail ragu, which for the price ($9) is the best value in the neighborhood. The gnocchi literally melts away in your mouth. The ragu is perfect for a cold night.

We also enjoyed the portabello carpaccio and the parpparadelle with bolognese sauce.
