We finally tried Sorellina over the weekend. While I do not particularly like that room, the food was outstanding. This is the best new restaurant we ahve tried this year. Prices aside, we will definitely be back.
The Tuna lived up to its previous billing on this board and is one of the top three in Boston IMO. The Crudo was excellent as well. The Tortelloni pasta dish was delicious and the perfect size in the half order. The Veal and Pork chops were both outstanding. The Veal was my entree, and I think it is one of the best veal dishes I have ever had. I may be ordering it again the next time we eat at Sorellina. For sides, the Eggplant Gratinata and Green Beans were good choices. The eggplant was particularly tasty. The truffle fries could have been a bit hotter and crispier.
Service was very friendly and laid back, while still remaining professional.
Pre dinner cocktails were generously poured, which helps justify their price. While the wine list is a bit more inflated than most resturants, we found a few outstanding bottles which were happy to pay for. This is a splurge resturant for us, and that is what we did. However it was so good, we will be back sooner than we thought. My mouth is watering just thinking of the Tuna!
