One of the best moments of last weekends Rhone Rangers wine tasting was spotting the smiling face of Junny Gonzales of Sonoma Foie Gras (www.sonomafoiegras.com). I had not visited with her since she stopped selling to retail clients at the farm door a couple years ago. She was offering tastes of foie gras terrine buttery, unctuous, delicious.
Her big news is that her family will be opening a store on the plaza in Sonoma this summer hopefully by early June. It will feature a rotisserie, wine bar, delicatessen, and locally produced fine wine and food.
