Tried Girasol on Broadway yesterday, can't remember what used to be there. It's a pretty typical menu of South American food with tacos, empanadas, plantains, tamales, platos tipicos plus there's a large selection of bakery items. I got a wonderful chicken empanada which blew the socks off the one at La Pupusa Guanica in JP. The beef taco wasn't as good, might have been my fault cuz I saved it for later. She overcharged me 50 cents for something but not a big deal at $3.68 w/ tax. The most expensive items are a couple fish dishes at $10. The sugar donuts looked great but I held off cuz I was on my way to Louie's down the street for a kiddie grapenut cone ($2). The woman looked forlorn there on a cool gray day but you should try it cuz there a ton of flavors, the price is right and the grapenut is rich and creamy.
