Finally had a chance to get to Solo. Had dinner there last night with a non-jewish friend. I liked it much better than the Prime Grill, which is usually my restaurant of choice when going out with non-kosher friends or colleagues. It was not as noisy (although not quiet), a more creative menu, and the staff were all friendly (something I have not always experienced at PG).
I had the potato truffle gnocchi, and the veal. My friend had the spinach and wild mushroom salad and the yellowtail. Dessert was Coffee and Donuts, which unlike its sound, consisted of chocolate mousse, coffe ice cream and two teeny donuts. We loved the food, and the wine list was fantastic. The only thing that could have been improved was the space (or lack of it) between the tables.
I will definitely go back, and definitely recommend.
