I posted this about two weeks ago and didn't get any responses until I got an e mail asking for more information and I realized I had spelled the name wrong. Anyway, I have no connection to the owners or anything but would like this place to stay in business longer than Spezia. We really had a great meal and I at least had enough steak and potatoes left to enjoy it the next night. Anyway here is the review.
We had dinner there tonight and it was excellent. This is a relatively new place, it had previously been Spezia but now is under different ownership and chef. It is a BYOB. For an appetizer I had fried oysters over some type of greens with a chili mayo type remoulade. My husband had a camembart (spelling) cheese type appetizer in a thin pastry dough which was also very good. For a main course I had the rib eye steak, cooked medium rare as ordered in some type of dark wine sauce with yummy mashed potatoes and spinach. While the weight of the steak wasn't listed, I estimate at least 12-14 oz (boneless) and it was way too much to eat given the appetizer and the good bread selection which came earlier with a nice tapenade. Took half home. Husband had short ribs which came with some perfectly cooked pasta and some type of root vegetables. He also took some home. For desert we each had the somewhat warm chocolate cake which came with vanilla ice cream, some berries and some type of raspberry sauce. We should have probably split this but my daughter was able to enjoy my leftover when I took it home. We each also had decaf. The bill without tip was $95, and believe me it was a lot of delicious food for the money. We will definitely go again. The place seats perhaps 40, so make reservations. I suspect when more word gets out this will become very popular. I definitely want it to stay around but hopefully not get so popular that it becomes a problem to get reservations.
