I've become friendly with the guy who runs the Impressed Cafe on Lexington St. primarily as a result of going there virtually every Friday this summer for the softshell sandwich special. He recently told me that his supplier has perfected a soft crab freezing method that leaves them tasting like fresh. He invited me to try one last Friday. My verdict? Not as good as fresh, but substantially better than the typical frozen ones. He'll be offering them on Fridays for $8.88 inc. small soda and chips if anyone is interested.
