Snowstorm in NYC--what are you cooking?

It's been snowing all day--what are you cooking? Or craving? I've been home sick with a cold, which meant a big pot of cure-what-ails-you soup, a never-fail version of Thai tom yum. Chicken stock simmered for 5 or 10 minutes with lots of sliced garlic, sliced lemongrass, a fresh green hot pepper, some chopped fresh ginger, and a big spoonful of red curry paste. Right before serving, add juice of 1 or 2 limes (and some lime zest), chopped scallions, some fresh spinach (if you have it), and lots of cilantro and/or mint. Killer and great at clearing a stuffy head. Followed by a baked potato (some little yellow-fleshed yummy thing from the Union Square greenmarket on Sat.) and some Ciao Bella blood-orange sorbet, which is a ravishing sunset pink and very refreshing. And homemade chocolate chip cookies, with oatmeal, walnuts, and raisins (Hey, I've been home all day--and my apt is pretty much only big enough for a table, a bed, and the kitchen. Which means the main things I do at home are knit, nap, read, write, and cook.) And you? What are you cooking to celebrate this last burst of winter?
