I overheard a tantalizing conversation the other day, and should have approached those strangers to find out what they were talking about - but now I'm hoping you Chowhounds do!
They were talking about a small family-owned Thai restaurant in Berkeley, sounded like it was a bit of a hole in the wall and hard to find - my sense was south/central Berkeley.
The thing about this place is it sounded like it there was essentially no menu - they cooked whatever they cooked that day - sort of a prix fixe.
Does this ring any bells? I regret not finding out then - you're my only hope!
