I know for sure that the Crock Pot model can't be programmed to start on high and switch to low (but will automatically switch to stay warm mode from either high or low)
I am trying to find out if the KitchenAid is more programmable or not.
I've read very good reviews on the Crock Pot saying that it doesn't run too hot as apparently many of the new cookers do. I have not found many reviews on the KitchenAid, but its full retail price is considerably higher than the Crock Pot so I'm wondering if it is actually better in any way.
Lastly, I'm thinking that since I would like to have some leftovers, that the 6 qt size is ok. We are two adults, a 10 year old and a 2 year old. I'm guessing that most standard recipes would fill the crock pot halfway so that all should be well. If people disagree, please let me know.
Lastly, I've only had dry crock pot briskets and pot roasts in the slow cooker. Is that the fault of the cook? is it possible to get tender/juicy brisket or pot roast in the slow cooker?
