Josh L's recent post recommends Sitram as an alternative to All-clad. I've never heard of Sitram until yesterday, but now that I did a search for it on Google, it looks very promising. Thanks for a great tip Josh!
But I don't need a saute pan, I need a braising pot -- something I can brown the meat in, add liquid and then slowly braise in the oven. Sitram makes one for about $90, which is a great price compared to $170 for All-Clad. So I am considering buying it, but I haven't heard any reviews of their braising pots. Most information I found was about their saute pans. Does anyone own one? I'd love to hear your feedback.
