Just wanted to see if anyone here had any experience with the Single Gourmet Social Club. I'm new to Chicago (three months) and I'm looking for a place to meet (normal) people who enjoy good food and drink in a social setting.
I always have this kind of scary premonition that Single Gourment will be me and a bunch of 90 year old never married school marms eating wet toast and warm milk. Or some group of psychotic stalkers who call you at 3 am to invite you to Olive Garden for Baloney Alfredo (that's classic and I will use it often to describe Olive Garden fare).
I'd love to hear any experiences that any of you may have had.
