First of all, thanks so much to all of you who have been giving me great advice and food for thought, pardon the pun!
I know the subject of dining alone has been addressed before --- but I have some specific questions.
First of all -- I don't know how many of the folks who have been dining alone were female. -- Do females on this board feel comfortable dining alone in New Orleans? Are you treated well by the powers that be?
If so, I would love to hear your favorites.
Second: I will have between two and four days to spend on my own, (definitely Monday and Tuesday --- possibly the Saturday afternoon of our arrival and Sunday as well) and thought that I would rent a car and take day trips. However, I am rethinking that now and wonder whether there would be enough to do (and of course eat) if I stayed in town. I still want to have things to do with my BF for the remainder of our stay (Wed - Sunday).
What do you think? Stay in town and gobble up sights and tastes locally? Take day trips and have out-of-town culinary/cultural adventures?
