The small, unassuming Zott's served up some of the tastiest food I'd had in Singapore in a long while! Fronted by the very talented Austrian executive chef, Lorenz-Maria Griesser, whose cooking has a light touch.
What we had:
- Soupe glacee de melon: iced melon soup, with crab meat and San Daniele ham.
- Saint Pierre: pan-fried John Dory with artichoke, bell peppers and rocket frond.
- Hirschuecken: pan-fried venison loin, served with celeriac puree and marinated cherries.
- Kaiserschmarn: souffled pancake, caramelized and shredded, then served with stewed plums and vanilla ice-cream.
Koenig Ludwig Brot, a traditional Bavarian bread made with rye and malt, was served with marinated cherry tomatoes, whipped butter.
