Singapore, Penang, Bangkok

David P. Baker | Jan 4, 200011:22 PM

We're going to southeast Asia for just over two weeks next week -- Singapore, Penang, and Bangkok -- and we're looking for tips on where best to masticate and swallow.

We already know the basic principle of SEA chowhoundology: never eat in restaurants, just in street-vendor stalls. What we're looking for are specific recommendations, both for dishes (we're familiar with the cuisines as they are available in New York) and, better, for specific locations/stalls.

Any info would be much appreciated.
