klyeoh | Mar 25, 2015 08:49 AM

Xi Yan at Shaw Centre is one of HK celebrity-TV chef, Jacky Yu's dining outlets in Singapore offering modern-Chinese cuisine. This casual dining outlet at Shaw Centre is surprisingly affordable - one can really eat well for less than S$40 per head.

Pork patties with salted fish and water-chestnuts.

Scrambled eggs with prawns and black truffles.

Sichuanese "Salivating" Chicken.

Okinawa black sugar Zhenjiang spare ribs.

Deep-fried pork belly in fermented beancurd marinade.

Rice in superior fish soup.

Fragrant, toasted rice grains in a superior quality fish soup, further enhanced with crisp-fried whitebait, tasty nori seaweed and toasted sesame seeds - it's a symphony of lovely tastes and textures.

Kumquat-honey drink

Xi Yan's casual interior.
