A Simple Italian Fix...

Winter | Oct 24, 2002 12:09 AM

A shout out to my fellow hounds, if you will : )

Just wondering what other hounds do when they need a good simple Italian fix -- guess i mean linguine and clams (like they used to do at Marcelino in Waltham),
maybe a decent veal piccata? steak pizzola or just a damn good marinara like at home?

Criteria:

1. Anything ExCePt the north end or downtown
(burbs or rural are fine)

2. Simpler is better (No excruciating 'ill'(sic) Capriccio attitude, just lunch or dinner thanks.

3. Good value is always a plus...

Perhaps Carlo's in Brighton would sort of a paradigm?

or even that 'Firenzi?' [the place in Cooledge Cr. hopefuly, without the picnic table or the eternally angry proprietor!]

Thanx
