Is everything at Sichuan Gourmet wicked spicy??

So we're wimps, but everything I've tried at at Sichuan Gourmet (Framingham) has been very hot, even the stuff that has only one pepper on the menu, like the Old Sichuan Chicken and the Dan Dan Noodles. Tonight, even the string beans tasted spicy. My husband ate everything, (with plenty of wine) then announced that he wasn't sure if he should just take a shower or go to the ER. My son only ate the scallion pancakes and laughed at us, while my daughter ate the string beans and rice, hopping around on one foot fanning her mouth. She found some dates in the pantry and ate those to cool off, but when I served the dessert (those delicious sweet potato sesame cakes), she looked at me dubiously and asked if they were spicy, too.

Their stuff is seriously so good (it's not just heat, but amazing flavor) that we keep going back, but are there things we can order that won't blow holes in our sinuses and make our scalps itch? And I'm curious, do people from the Sichuan province eat stuff like this every day? What do they feed their children? In my experience, all children are sensitive to hot foods.
