Just a shot in the dark

My wife and I no longer live in Austin, having moved to Smithville onto 15 acres of land about 5 years ago. Previous to that we were in Austin almost 20 years. At the location in Hyde Park on 43rd Street which is now Quackenbushes there used to be a small coffee shop called the Hyde Park Bakery. The owner sold out to Quacks. However, the baker there made the most fantastic walnut scones I/we've ever tasted. Over the suceeding 12 years or so, my wife, who is an incredible baker has tried, without sucess to reproduce those scones. My question is; First, does anyone know that receipe or secondly, does anyone know how I could get into contact with the original owner or baker? Any information would be greatly appreciated. The scones must have been made with some particular flour. my wife has tried cornmeal, rye and whole wheat none of which have come close to the original taste or consistancy of those scones.

As a reward I will personally deliver to the informant, anywhere in Austin or surrounding area a dozen of them, freshly baked.
