Shellfish Alert: Taste Queen in NE Philadelphia

Our second visit to this restaurant was slightly different, but just as stellar as our first.

Again, we pre-ordered 6 large oysters, with intention of having them steamed with ginger and
scallions. The amazing dish cost only $21.95, and made three of us very happy. The other
pre-ordered dish was a lobster, to be prepared Cantonese Style. The charge was only $21.95,
which surprised me for a juicy tender lobster of a nice size, with superlative sauce that included
mushrooms and peas. Shared clam/shrimp/tofu soup made 3 of us happy at $7.95; hubby's pumpkin
soup at $2.45 was also enjoyed. Desserts were a surprise: any flavor of ice cream, topped with
chocolate and home baked honeyed walnuts, chopped fairly fine was a delight.

After the meal, we complimented the young woman, Lily, who had order the oysters for me, and asked her what else she would recommend. Crabs treated similarly was her answer. She also
explained how she had hand-picked each of our six huge oysters--this lady really knows her fish, and we look forward to dining there again soon. Most gracious service, lovely decor, ample
parking lot: in the Krewstown Shopping Center just off Krewstown and Welsh Road.
