"Shelf Life" site, EatByDate.com, guidlines on eating it past date.

Many foods are good past their date. But how long can you eat it? Found able to use eatbydate.com as a guide, but I never trust anything online. There are all kinds of category tabs across the top to explore. When in doubt throw it out so I go through my pantry once a year and toss. Started looking around because found a can of chicken I never used because prefer frozen. The can is perfect. Got me to thinking how do I know? So I searched online. Found my Snow's White Chicken is probably good for 2-5 years past date here:

Then looked at milk it confirmed dates I use, with the new information whole milk spoils faster than the 2%:

For eggs know I've eaten way more than 4 weeks past proven by the float test described (was never sure when to throw out eggs - I trash more than I consume):

Can eat the chicken if ever get to it. For the $2 a can it costs may toss anyway as frankly prefer frozen or fresh. Do not want to donate to others meat past its date. Being wasteful I know sucks so; Note to self don't buy things if don't like to eat it. Thinking back bought the canned chicken just because on sale.
