Tried three dishes at this Del Ray restaurant with Indian, Thai, and Sri Lankan sections to their menu.
So far I found the food more interesting than good. The highlight is 'string hoppers,' pre-shaped mounds of pillowy, ultra thin rice-noodles served at room temperature. They absorb the accompanying fish curry so well.
Started of with the goat rolls, which are a concoction of mashed vegetables and bits of meat wrapped in a crepe and fried to a golden crisp. The mixture tasted of offal, not particularly pleasant.
The polos pehi (jackfruit cooked in coconut milk) is nice enough.
The Sri Lankan specialties fit on one page, so it's not a large menu. Still, I'd be interested to hear how others fare before going back.
